If you are missing a full arch or set of teeth, dentures can be a great restorative option. Dentures are custom-fit to patients to restore the form and function of their teeth.

Benefits of Implant Secured Dentures

When secured with dental implants, dentures can offer many benefits that improve oral health:

  • Prevent gum recession
  • Improve bite function
  • Support bone retention
  • Provide stability and security
  • Improve speech and chewing ability

Dentures & Partials: What to Expect

Before treatment, Dr. Brock Hyder will examine your teeth and gums to see if you are a good candidate for dentures. Dr. Hyder may take jaw stability into account when creating a treatment plan for you. Depending on the results of his assessment, you may be a candidate for another restorative treatment.

Removable dentures consist of replacement teeth on a base. Molds of teeth will be made and a temporary restoration may be placed before your dentures are complete. This restoration is color-matched to teeth for a natural look.

Permanent dentures are secured by dental implants for a stable restoration. First, dental implants are inserted into the jawbone and allowed to heal during a period of 3 to 6 months. After this period, an abutment and dental crown are attached. Implant-secured dentures are a long-lasting and durable option for missing teeth.
